Each year, Southeastern Cotton GInners Association holds meetings for its members to update them on important information for the upcoming season. This year our meetings are split into two weeks. The first two meetings will be next week. The Alabama / Florida State Unit meeting will be Wednesday, August 30 beginning with a lunch and meeting to follow. This meeting immediately follows the Alabama Ginner Safety Round Table.

The Georgia meeting will be August 31 at the University of Georgia Conference Center in Tifton. The meeting will begin at 10 AM with lunch to follow. North Carolina and Virginia Ginners will have their meeting at the Ag Center in Wilson as it has been in the past several years. The meeting will be September 12. South Carolina’s meeting will be September 13th again at 10 AM with lunch to follow. This is a venue change from the notice that was sent out in the past few weeks. The new venue is the Tri-County Electric coop in St Matthews. The address is 6473 Old State Road, Matthews, SC. We will send a separate notice for venue change next week.

These meetings will have speakers from various agencies and organizations as well as updates from Association Staff on Labor, Safety and several other topics of interest to ginners throughout the region.
